I went swimming earlier this evening and it was lovely. My ankle said hello every now and then but I think on the whole it was a good exercise (pardon the pun). This doing nothing while my ankle recovers is just doing my head in.
One thing however cropped up this evening that was unexpected and fabulous. As I was swimming I found myself moving in a slightly different way and seemed to find a slipstream I'd not known about before. I was moving my legs alot more (was knackering) but my speed really improved (which makes sense I guess). It just felt so good though. I think I'll be working on that move for a while, or at least until I can run again.
Unrelated, I'm beginning to think about next years campaign and wondering what I should put on my wish list ... would it be insane to think Marathon and Olympic Tri in the same year?

Injured
Quick little update here to say that since my last entry after the 10k, I've torn the ligaments in my right ankle and still can't run.
It's been terrible, torture even. On the positive side I'm back cycling and not really having any adverse reaction but when I got into the pool for the first time earlier in the week I could definitely feel it when I kicked. Not sure how much longer it's going to take to resolve but hopefully soon and before I turn back into an oompa loompa.
Getting git is good for your health but getting injured is terrible for your (in)sanity. They never tell you that.
